I don’t believe in throwing away your scale. But I also don’t believe in BMI charts and know everyone is different. 

What might be a healthy weight for you, isn’t for someone else. There are so many different factors and we are all unique. 

The scale is a tool, not something you should measure your worth on. 

GOAL WEIGHT = Strong 💪 and Healthy 🍎

I was nervous to commit to 100 days because there is not one stretch of time that is 100 days without holidays, birthdays and travel. Guess what? That’s exactly how you make this a longterm lifestyle and not quick fix. By doing it through those things.

People tell me all the time that ‘I don’t unde People tell me all the time that ‘I don’t understand what it’s like to battle with my weight and health.’

I am calling bullshit. 

For as long as I can remember, I struggled with disordered eating. Things like diet pill addiction, yo-yo dieting #bingeeating, fear of food, extreme food guilt and more. But because it wasn’t classic anorexia or bulimia (which is all we learned about in school) I figured it was normal. 

After a lifetime of struggling, I lost 50 lbs {the healthy way} twice, once before Michelle and once after. I have hard days but I’m determined to continue to improve my relationship with food and fitness to set a good example for my no. 1 fan ❤️

I’m still not my perfect BMI and some might consider me chubby {GASP!}. Part of my recovery and being know that the scale can be  useful but it is only ONE measurement, it does not define my worth.

And I got in!!! It wasn’t a good time to start, but it never really is...

Today, I earned my degree in Strategy and Innovation. 

And my first degree in my married name and with a brain injury #tbi #trauma
I was sorting through my inbox last night and 99% I was sorting through my inbox last night and 99% of what I get is heartwarming and uplifting. So many ladies telling me how much weight they are losing, how much energy they have and how they are excited something FINALLY WORKED. 

There is always that one debbie downer, ya know? Someone says to me "How can you be a coach? You are fat." I chose not to respond but what I wanted to say was: "Well, actually, I am not fat, I have fat.”

Yep, my thighs touch and I will likely never have a coveted thigh gap, when I sit down my stomach rolls and my arms even jiggle! 

But that makes me real and that's why I love this little 'job" of mine. I am not a fitness professional. I'm a regular girl, with a regular life who is taking the time to stay active and take care of herself. I have many of the same struggles that you all have. I have goals and milestones but I don't have an ultimate goal because I don't plan on ever stopping. My job is to encourage, motivate and do my very best to stay on track. The ladies and gents I work with inspire me to do more and I am not going to let one person get to me. 

So while I used to let these comments REALLY get to me, I don’t anymore. 

Instead, I’ll proudly tell you that I have fat, my thighs touch, my arms jiggle AND I have same the same struggles you do which means I GET IT. And I have legit solutions to help ❤️

I’m in an executive time management course this I’m in an executive time management course this week as part of my degree at  @massachussetsinstitutetech 
I think I’m good at #timemanagement, but I always believe in leveling up. 

The FIRST tip the professor gave us was ‘have a boring breakfast’.

You have to eat to be productive, and you have to make it something that you don’t have to think about to keep it simple and focus on other tasks. He has the same cereal with skim milk every single day.

Even though there is so much we can’t control, you can {take control} of your mental and physical health. What do you do take control?
It wasn’t always like this...but I'd rather ROCK It wasn’t always like this...but I'd rather ROCK self confidence, self worth + self love than six pack abs any day! 

I’ve got a secret, the scale and a six pack does not define you. 

That's "diet culture" knocking at your door, just stop answering. 

And if something promises to get you them with a magic morning potion, cutting out an entire food group or do a million crunches...RUN! 

Even if it did work, without self confidence, self worth + self love, it won't stick. And if it feels like a "diet" you're NOT doing it right...

How about learning to take care YOU first, mind, body + soul?
