Everyone has a story, here is mine.

I grew up overweight. My entire life I struggled with my weight. I grew up in a middle-class household. I could have made healthy choices, and I chose not to. And as I got into my adulthood, I decided to make some changes in my life. And I started to look to eat healthily and exercise, and I was able to take off some of the weight. But I got in the cycle of binge eating and diet pills and it was like nothing was making the way to stay off. I was like a serial yo-yo dieter. You guys know exactly what I am talking about. And it was so hard for me emotionally.

And then around my 30th birthday, I decided I was going to make some real changes in my health. I was going to stop this binge eating cycle, I was going to stop the diet pill cycle, and I was going to do things the right way. I was going to start working out and eating healthy and that’s what I did. I mean 3 years I have been able to be healthy and keep off the weight and, more importantly, I feel good about myself, be fit, lower my cholesterol?- everything. It’s been amazing for me.

The most amazing thing is that it’s really helped me through it could have been a really hard time in my life. August?2016 I was out walking my dog across a cross-walk, and I got hit at full speed by a car. I had emergency brain surgery to save my life. I shattered my pelvis, my face, my sternum and my sacrum. And there was a question on if I would survive. And then once I was kind of past that point there was a question on if I would ever walk again because my pelvis was so shattered.?And I will tell you that decision that I had made 3 years prior to get fit and healthy truly saved my life.

Being fit 100% helped me in:?a) surviving and?b) thriving.?The doctors were like, “We don’t know if you will ever walk again.” But being strong and being able to mentally and physically move?myself?forward, I am thrilled to say that 3 months later I was up, and walking, and completing fitness programs again. And I have no pain even in my shattered pelvis area.

So I have made it my passion and my mission to pay it forward and help others get healthy the right way by working out and eating healthy and living their life without the yo-yo dieting, without diet pills, without the wraps, without the crash diets, because I know it can be possible. And yes skinny jeans are great and that is definitely why I started this. But I have come to realize that it is so much more than skinny jeans, because being fit can truly, can truly save you, especially someone like me that was in such a horrific accident. I had nothing short of a miraculous recovery and I am so thankful.
