REPEAT AFTER ME: You do not have to be hungry to lose weight.

One of the questions I get all the time is ‘how do I eat out and still lose weight?’

I used be one of those people who ordered a garden salad with dressing on the side. I was embarrassed to eat in front of people so I thought if I didn’t eat much I wouldn’t look as ‘fat’. But instead I would go home starving and raid the fridge and probably binge.

I have realized I am a ‘volume eater’ which means I like a lot of food. This is a burrito bowl that I loaded with beans, shredded chicken, veggies, salsa and sour cream.

I always recommend a balance of veggies, protein, carbs and healthy fats.

For example, because I chose beans, I didn’t have rice as well but I could have had rice instead. I went with chicken for my protein. I loaded up on veggies with lettuce, salsa fresca, onions, peppers and zucchini. For my healthy fat I went with sour cream but could have chosen guac or cheese instead 🥑

I ate this whole thing, I was the only one to clean my plate. I never feel ‘bad’ about eating anymore. You have to fuel you body 👏 👏 👏

Don’t get my wrong, I definitely indulge sometimes but I know that I like a lot of food so I try to load up on veggies, plus my superfood shake gives me some extra servings and help curb my cravings.

Many people will say they can lose weight without any help but that is not mean. Weight loss, fitness and nutrition are very mental and I truly believe you need the support and tools to feel good. The reality is, you are going to have bad days, weeks, months but you CAN build a long term sustainable lifestyle that works for you!
