Today I’m going to talk to you about why video marketing, like this, is amazing for your business.

I’m relatively new at video marketing. You’ll noticed that I started doing more videos lately, and there’s a reason for that. I sort of wanted to share with you why, because a lot of people come to me and say, “you take funny pictures; why do you need to do video marketing?”

So I’m going to share with you why I’ve been doing this and why it helps me.

First of all I want to start out with the fact that I’m not a great writer. I am an engineer, and I do math. So sometimes I think that when I’m writing posts, or blogging, it doesn’t come off as wonderful as it sounds in my head. I also can’t show my emotion. What I mean by that is, say you’re sending an email, and — I’m sure this has happened to you before — someone takes it totally the wrong way, like you meant it funny or sarcastic and they take it as like an insult. Right?

You’re like — that’s not how I meant it; what’s going on with this?

why video marketing

The same thing would happen when you’re writing a post or writing a blog. I don’t mean that in a bad way, but at the same time, your emotion doesn’t come through. Your passion for what you’re doing doesn’t come through. Sometimes… I really came to realize this — even when I talk to people.

So like if I set up a conference call with a prospective coach, I feel like it goes so much better than if I’m just emailing them or texting them or messaging them. Because I’m writing things down, but they can’t feel my excitement. They don’t understand how amazing I think this opportunity is. They don’t hear it in my voice; it’s harder to ask questions back and forth because you don’t know what they’re thinking and they feel bad interrupting you when you’re just typing. But if you’re on a call, it’s much more of a back and forth conversation.
